VISALIA, California (October 16, 2016) – 84-year-old Robert Howard died and several others suffered injuries following a traffic collision at Conyer and Main streets Sunday morning, according to an article by Fresnobee.
At about 10:00 a.m., an ambulance carrying Howard was struck by a car driven by a man identified as 69-year-old Robert Zielske. The impact from the crash caused the ambulance to overturn causing to minor injuries to everyone inside–the driver and two firefighters and a paramedic.
As per the article, Howard was taken by another ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
No immediate information was provided on the condition of Zielske.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the deadly accident, charges and liabilities.
