Woman, 58, Victim in Deadly DUI Crash in Coronado
CORONADO (August 23, 2017)- According to NBC News San Diego, a deadly DUI crash resulted in the tragic passing of a 58-year-old old woman identified as Eleanor Tabuena and injured four others Sunday morning.
The incident was reported at 12:20 a.m. on Highway 75 also referred to as Silver Strand Highway when the driver of a Jeep lost control heading northbound and veered over the center divider directly into two southbound vehicles.

Authorities confirmed the unidentified driver of the Jeep was under the influence while led to the death of Ms. Eleanor Tabuena and injuries to her husband whom she had been married to for over 30 years.
Three others who may have been in the other car involved were also injured and hospitalized.
Initial reports stated that the driver of the Jeep lost control due to a medical emergency, however, that statement was verified to have been incorrect as authorities were able to assure the motorist was indeed intoxicated.
The suspected drunk driver, a male, remains in the intensive care unit with serious injuries. He will face severe charges once released from the hospital.
