Elena Morron, Abel Alvarado and Yolanda Alvarado Killed in Palm Desert Crash
PALM DESERT, CA (December 29, 2022) – Elena Morron, Abel Alvarado and Yolanda Alvarado were killed after a car crash in Palm Desert.
The Desert Sun and My News LA wrote that the fatal wreck took place on Wednesday, December 28, at about 7:15 p.m.
The incident happened when Elena Morron, 84, Abel Alvarado, 69, and Yolanda Alvarado, 65, were traveling in a 2015 Nissan Sentra in Palm Desert.
The three were trying to make a turn in the area of Fred Waring and Adonis drives. At the same time, a 2021 Honda Accord was going west on Fred Waring Drive at a high rate of speed.

Deputies said the Honda then slammed into the Nissan at the intersection. Elena Morron, Abel Alvarado and Yolanda Alvarado ended up trapped inside the Sentra as a result of the crash.
The coroner’s confirmed that the oldest victim from Los Angeles and the other two from Anza died at the scene of the collision. The speeding driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries following the accident.
Paramedics rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, officers forced Fred Waring to shut down between Town Center Way and Monterey Avenue for several hours after the wreck.
