HUMBOLDT: Elizabeth Palmer, 2 Children Missing After Crash Accident on Highway 96 at Klamath River

HUMBOLDT: Elizabeth Palmer, 2 Children Missing After Crash on Highway 96 at Klamath RiverHUMBOLDT, California — 30-year-old Elizabeth Anne Palmer and two children were reported as “suspected fatal but not confirmed” after a car accident on Highway 96, according to an article by KRCR.

On March 5 at about  7:30 p.m., a vehicle driven by Palmer crashed over the side of the highway and into the Klamath River where it became partially submerged in water.

The vehicle occupied three passengers—41-year-old Jose Paredes Chavez, a 4-year-old girl, and a 18-month-old girl.

As per officials, Chavez was able to extradite himself from the vehicle and climb up the embankment. He then flagged down a Caltrans worker for help.

On Tuesday, authorities said they were still unable to locate the vehicle and its remaining occupants. Further, the weather and natural activities were also adding to the difficulty of the search and rescue operation, as per KRCR.

Additional details were not available at this time.

The staff of Johnson Attorneys Group offer our prayers to Ms. Elizabeth Palmer, the two children, and their family members and friends.
