Elizabeth Wiseman, 25, Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run on Union Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 7, 2021) – Elizabeth Wiseman was killed after a hit-and-run crash along Union Avenue in Bakersfield.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the 25-year-old Bakersfield woman as the victim of the fatal accident two months ago, on February 28.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck Elizabeth Ann Wiseman for an unknown reason in Bakersfield. The driver hit her on South Union, south of Belle Terrace.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found Elizabeth Wiseman left lying on the ground and suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed her to the Kern Medical where she died. According to the Bakersfield Now, officers reported the crash at around 6:42 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
