At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on 5 Freeway at Twin Cities Road Saturday
Elk Grove, CA (August 28, 2021) – A car accident that occurred early Saturday in the area of Interstate 5 and Twin Cities Road resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated the wreck involved a black Hyundai Elantra, and a gray Toyota Camry. For an unknown reason, the two motorists collided in the southbound side of the freeway. The force from the impact caused one car to veer off the roadway, and roll down the embankment.
CHP logged the incident around 2:33 a.m.

When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to the possible victims. Our sources later confirmed at least one person sustained major trauma as a result of the incident. An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital for treatment of severe head lacerations, and a broken pelvis.
Several factors surrounding the car accident in Elk Grove remained unclear. Given that, investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the collision.
