Man Injured in Elk Grove Crash on Highway 99 at Laguna Boulevard
ELK GROVE, CA (May 19, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 at Laguna Boulevard in Elk Grove.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 9 a.m.
According to their dispatch team, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Elk Grove. They crashed on the Laguna Boulevard on-ramp to northbound Highway 99.
Car Collision on Elk Grove On-Ramp
CHP described the cars involved as a black 2019 Dodge Charger and a dark colored Dodge Durango. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
The man driving the Dodge Charger complained of pain as a result of the collision. A family member took him to the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, the wreck forced the northbound Highway 99 at Laguna Boulevard on-ramp to close.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Elk Grove crash.
