Elk Grove crash Interstate 5
1 Seriously Injured in Elk Grove Crash on Interstate 5 Near Lambert Road
ELK GROVE, CA (January 30, 2022) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person on the Interstate 5 near Lambert Road in Elk Grove.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:06 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Elk Grove. They crashed on on the northbound side of the Interstate 5, just south of Lambert Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that a vehicle ended up abandoned following the wreck. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Lambert after the incident.
The cause of the Elk Grove crash is still under investigation.
