Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Calvine Road
Elk Grove, CA (February 2, 2023) – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 99 Thursday, February 2.
The KCRA3 and FOX40 News reported a male party attempted to cross the highway in Elk Grove. While in the traffic lanes, the pedestrian was struck by two passing vehicles. The make and model of the cars involved in the horrible crash have not been revealed thus far.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Elk Grove
Shortly after 7:15 p.m., rescue teams arrived near Calvine Road where the collision took place. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the person found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Officials believed the fatal victim was an unhoused person.
Our sources mentioned the two drivers involved in the collision stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Highway 99 near Calvine Road.
