1 Injured in Elk Grove DUI Hit-and-Run Crash at Calvine and Cliffcrest

ELK GROVE, CA (September 5, 2021) – At least one was injured after a DUI hit-and-run crash at Calvine Road and Cliffcrest Drive in Elk Grove.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:18 p.m.

According to CHP, a Honda Civic and a Toyota Tacoma collided in Elk Grove. The two cars crashed at the intersection of Calvine Road and Cliffcrest Drive.

Drunk Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Honda who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the man with a large mustache driving the Toyota did not stop to help and fled the area. They believed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Officers forced the intersection of Calvine and Cliffcrest to shut down following the wreck. The Elk Grove DUI hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
