Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near Elk Grove Boulevard Saturday

ELK GROVE, Ca (November 2, 2019) – A motorcycle rider died in a traffic collision on the Interstate 5 Freeway Saturday afternoon, according to CBS News.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 63-year-old man from Lodi was riding his motorcycle in the northbound lanes of I-5. Then, officials said a Dodge pickup truck traveling in front of the motorcyclist failed to stop as traffic ahead slowed down.

Per local news source, the rider crashed into the back of the Dodge. The impact ejected the man from his bike.

First responders found the motorcyclist in the next lane. An oncoming big rig reportedly ran over the man.

Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Elk Grove, November 2

Responding medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the Dodge driver pulled over and stayed at the location after the incident. However, the big rig apparently continue driving following the collision.
