At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on Highway 99 Friday
Elk Grove, CA (May 15, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route 99, also known as Golden State Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Primary reports indicated two vehicles collided in the northbound side of SR-99 at the Laguna Boulevard onramp. Officials identified the cars involved in the wreck as a white pickup truck, and a Nissan minivan. The CHP log mentioned a red Ford Mustang pulled over near the site, but it remained unclear whether the Mustang played a role in the collision.
Shortly after 8:20 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. Our sources confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, investigators confirmed a motorist involved in the wreck fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
