Major Injury Collision on Highway 99 at Grant Line Road Saturday
Elk Grove, CA (September 18, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 99 Saturday afternoon.
Multi-Vehicle Accident in Elk Grove, September 18
The California Highway Patrol group reported a big rig collided with a motorcycle in the southbound side of the highway at Grant Line Road offramp. Officials added a third vehicle of unknown make and model got involved in the incident.
Shortly after 1:22 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to rider found lying on the ground. According to the CHP dispatch, the motorcyclist suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. An ambulance rushed the patient to Kaiser Permanente for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the motorcycle accident in Elk Grove remained unclear. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly what happened here and why.
