Motorcyclist Killed in Elkhorn Crash on Strawberry Canyon Near San Miguel Canyon
ELKHORN, CA (March 6, 2022) – A crash killed motorcyclist near Strawberry Canyon Road and San Miguel Canyon Road in Elkhorn.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:20 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Elkhorn. The two crashed on Strawberry Canyon Road near the intersection with San Miguel Canyon Road.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Royal Oaks and found the motorcyclist down on the ground. They confirmed that the motorcyclist died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver of the ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident.
Officers then forced the area near Strawberry Canyon and San Miguel Canyon roads to shut down after the wreck. The cause of the fatal Elkhorn crash is still under investigation.
