Motorcyclist Injured in Powell Street On-Ramp Crash to I-80 West

Emeryville, CA (April 21, 2025) — An Emeryville accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle happened on the Powell Street on-ramp to westbound I-80 late Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the incident occurred just before 11:00 a.m. on April 21st near the on-ramp in Emeryville.

A driver called 911 to report they struck a motorcycle who went down and became pinned underneath a vehicle.

Emergency medical and fire personnel were quickly dispatched and blocked the on-ramp while providing aid.

CHP units confirmed the crash involved two vehicles and classified it as a major injury collision. The on-ramp was partially blocked as crews worked to assist the injured and investigate the cause of the crash.

The full extent of injuries has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation.

Drivers in the area experienced brief delays as responders cleared the scene.
