Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man at Rodeo Drive and Lariat Road Monday
Victorville, CA (November 9, 2021) – Emilio Rodriguez, a 76-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Rodeo Drive and Lariat Road.
On November 8, Monday, Emilio Rodriguez apparently walked outside of a crosswalk when he attempted to cross Rodeo Drive. An oncoming vehicle failed to notice the pedestrian, and accidentally hit the man.
The horrible crash took place around 5:08 p.m., according to an article published online by Victor Valley News Group.
Emilio Rodriguez Dies at Hospital After Accident in Victorville
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the victim with serious injuries. Paramedics rendered first aid to Emilio Rodriguez then airlifted him to Loma Linda Hospital. Despite life-saving measures, the patient succumbed to his injuries and died at approximately 7 p.m.
Officials mentioned the driver involved in the catastrophic incident stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident in Victorville.
