Pedestrian Critically Injured in Encanto Hit-and-Run at Imperial Avenue and 63rd Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 9, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash critically injured a pedestrian at Imperial Avenue and 63rd Street in Encanto.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident occurred on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:25 p.m.
Police said a dark colored vehicle going west struck the pedestrian in Encanto. The driver hit the person who was crossing on Imperial Avenue at the intersection with 63rd Street at the time.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the victim in the roadway and left suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They added that prior to the collision, the suspect sped up in an attempt to beat a light at the intersection.
Officials forced the area of Imperial Avenue and 63rd Street to close following the accident. The Encanto hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
