4-Vehicle Crash on the I-5 Freeway in Encinitas
ENCINITAS, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Wednesday on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Leucadia Boulevard.
The 4-vehicle crash occurred about 12:10 p.m. on Oct. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Tesla Model Y, a silver Chevrolet Silverado and two other motorists are involved. The vehicles blocked the fast lane and HOV lane of the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help one person with minor injuries. They transported the person to Scripps La Jolla for further treatment.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the Encinitas crash on the 5 Freeway and will determine liability.
