ENCINITAS, California (March 21, 2017) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a traffic collision in the area of Leucadia Boulevard and Town Center Place Monday morning, according to NBC San Diego.
The accident took place at about 6:32 a.m.
As per the article, San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said a male pedestrian was struck by a car near or at the intersection. He was then transported to Scripps La Jolla with injuries described as major.
His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the vehicle involved stopped and stayed at the scene following the crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
