2-Vehicle Crash on 101 Freeway at Balboa Boulevard in Encino
ENCINO, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2020) — At least one person was injured Friday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on the US 101 Freeway in the Encino area.
The collision, which took place at 4:53 a.m., involved a truck, a Jeep and a possibly a sedan at the Balboa Boulevard off ramp, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The vehicles were blocking the slow lane of the freeway. One person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene. Paramedics transported one person to Northridge hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Two vehicles required towing and a SigAlert was issued.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
