Van and Car Crash on 101 Freeway in Encino
ENCINO, Calif. (July 19, 2021) — An Encino crash on the 101 Freeway Monday happened near Balboa Boulevard.
The collision happened about 10:29 a.m. on the eastbound Ventura Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Van Collides with Vehicle, Center Divider
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a white Toyota van spun out and collided with a grey unidentified vehicle and the center divider wall.
The driver lost control in the slow lane and traveled across the freeway before it crashed into the cement wall. Additionally, the van suffered major front-end damage in the collision, but the report did not mention what happened to the other vehicle.
Paramedics responded due to possible injuries, however, the report did not specify. Also, the incident is classified as a minor-injury crash. The motorists involved are cooperating with authorities on scene.
Meanwhile, traffic investigators seek to determine what caused the Encino crash on the 101 Freeway as well as liability.
