Enrique Campos Gutierrez, 49, Killed in Hawthorne Crash on 105 Freeway
HAWTHORNE, CA (March 25, 2023) – Enrique Campos Gutierrez was killed after a crash on the 105 Freeway in Hawthorne.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 49-year-old San Pedro man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Enrique Campos Gutierrez was riding a car in Hawthorne. CHP said for an unknown reason, that vehicle collided with two others.
Multiple Cars Collide
The cars crashed on the westbound side of the 105 Freeway near the Crenshaw Boulevard off-ramp. The ABC 7 News and My News LA wrote that the collision occurred on March 24 shortly before 5 a.m.
Enrique Campos Gutierrez died at the scene of the crash. The reports did not mention if any other person ended up hurt as a result of the accident.
Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound lanes of the 105 Freeway to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Hawthorne crash is still under investigation.
