Employee Killed in Workplace Accident Identified as Enrique Garcia-Vazques, 18
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2018) – Enrique Garcia-Vazques, 18, of Tustin, died after he got trapped in heavy machinery at a clay-products company, according to the Orange County Register.
The incident took place on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 1400 E. Pomona Street in Santa Ana.
The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene at 11:15 a.m. after receiving a call that an employee was working in or near the equipment and got trapped. The teenager was found already deceased at the scene.
Cal/OSHA is heading up the investigation into what happened.
