DESERT HOT SPRINGS, California (April 17, 2016) – A 43-year-old man was killed after being struck by a car on Palm Drive near Paul Road early Saturday morning, according to The Desert Sun. (map)
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Eric York, of Tulare.
As per the article, police said York was driving a big rig when he pulled over on Palm Drive at approximately 4:40 a.m.
The 43-year-old was crossing the street to get to an AM/PM store when he was struck by a vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver involved reportedly cooperated with the authorities.
The incident remains under investigation.
