Kemp, Silverman and Waxdeck Injured in Santa Maria Car Accident on Highway 166
SANTA MARIA (April 6, 2019) – Three were injured, two seriously, after a fatal traffic collision along Highway 166 near Rock Front Ranch Saturday afternoon.
The wounded victims have been identified as 20-year-old Erica Kemp, 21-year-old Mariana Silverman, and 20-year-old Keilani Waxdeck. All three are from San Luis Obispo.
California Highway Patrol said Kemp was driving a Nissan Sentra with Silverman and Waxdeck as passengers on Highway 166 when their car was hit by a Honda Accord.
The Honda was initially traveling west on the highway when for an unknown reason it crossed over the center line and hit the Nissan. The accident was reported at approximately 12:30 p.m.

According to Noozhawk, Silverman and Waxdeck suffered major injuries while Kemp sustained minor injuries following the crash.
Waxdeck was ailifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, while Kemp and Silverman were taken by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, Santa Barbara County Fire Department officials pronounced the Accord driver, a 29-year-old Caliente man, and his passenger, a 29-year-old Caliente woman, dead at the scene.
The names of the deceased were later identified as Brian Adams and Ashley Castillo. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
