Erica Neal, 30, Killed in Los Banos Pedestrian Crash at Pacheco and Mercey Springs
LOS BANOS, CA (April 5, 2021) – A pedestrian accident killed Erica Neal at Pacheco Boulevard and Mercey Springs Road in Los Banos.
The Merced County Coroner’s Office identified the 30-year-old Livingston woman as the victim of the collision which occurred last week on Thursday morning.
The incident happened when Erica Neal was crossing the intersection of East Pacheco Boulevard and Mercey Springs Road in Los Banos.
Woman Hit by PG&E Truck in Los Banos
At the same time, a PG&E Ford pickup truck driving eastbound in the No. 1 lane of East Pacheco Boulevard. Los Banos police said for an unknown reason, the vehicle struck Erica Neal.
According to The Tribune, officers reported the accident on April 1 at about 6:14 a.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found the pedestrian unresponsive on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the PG&E truck stopped after hitting the woman.
The motorist stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the authorities. The cause of the fatal Los Banos collision is still under investigation.
