Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Lynwood
LYNWOOD, Calif. (August 2, 2024) – Erica Pleasant, 28, died in a pedestrian accident early Thursday involving several vehicles on a transition road between the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway and eastbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Lynwood.
Police responded to the scene just after the 1:43 a.m. collision on August 1st and located the woman in the slow lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, several damaged vehicles were stopped nearby on the connector road.
The California Highway Patrol closed down the transition road between the the two freeways for several hours to investigate what happened.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Erica Pleasant.
