
Two Men Killed in San Bernardino Car Accident
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (July 6, 2023) — Erick Ernesto Hernandez, 22, of Adelanto, and his passenger, Cesar Benito Hernandez Hernandez, 50, of Fullerton, both died last month in a crash on the Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
Additionally, the collision occurred around 2:28 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision on the I-215 freeway, just south of the Interstate 210, in San Bernardino. The drivers involved included a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, a white work truck and a big rig truck.
Upon their arrival to the scene, CHP officials found the Jeep fully engulfed in flames and one person was outside of it after being ejected, according to a report by On Scene TV.
Paramedics and fire crews were also at the scene and extinguished the fire. The person who was thrown from the Jeep survived with major injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities located the 22-year-old driver, and a 50-year-old passenger, both dead at the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing and witnesses may contact the California Highway Patrol.
