Erik Kiser, 59, Badly Injured in Calistoga Head-On Crash on Silverado Trail
NAPA COUNTY, CA (March 23, 2022) – Erik Kiser was badly injured after a car crash on Silverado Trail outside Calistoga.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 59-year-old Napa man as the victim of the wreck which took place on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened when Erik Kiser was driving a 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV north on Silverado Trail near Calistoga. At the same time, a 2006 Toyota Corolla was going south.
The driver of the Toyota, 22-year-old Javier Torres, crossed the center line for an unknown reason. In the process, the Sonoma man went into the path of the Jeep.

CHP said the the Corolla then slammed head-on into the Cherokee near Clover Flat Road. The SUV rolled over on the east shoulder of the road.
Erik Kiser sustained moderate injuries as a result of the crash. Firefighters extricated Javier Torres from his car and he ended up suffering from major injuries following the incident.
Paramedics rushed the two drivers to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. The Napa Valley Register wrote that the accident occurred at about 6:55 a.m.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Silverado Trail to shut down for a time after the wreck. The cause of the Calistoga crash is still under investigation.
