 Erik Verdian Fatal Palm Springs Crash Sunrise Way, Palm Canyon Drive

Man Killed in Palm Springs Crash is Identified

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2022) –  Erik Verdian, 31, of Burbank, died in a Palm Springs collision at Sunrise Way and Palm Canyon Drive.

The collision occurred about 9:07 p.m. on Saturday, July 30th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.

Two others suffered injuries in the collision involving a suspected DUI motorist, according to the Desert Sun and KESQ News.

Authorities say a driver was traveling south on Sunrise Way, approaching East Palm Canyon Drive, in Palm Springs.

The car reportedly crashed into a vehicle occupied by Erik Verdian stopped at the intersection. Upon impact, there was a chain-reaction crash involving two more drivers at the intersection.

Paramedics responded and sadly pronounced Erik Verdian deceased at the scene.

Additionally, there was a passenger in that vehicle who also suffered major injuries.

The driver who hit the vehicle had major injuries too. Both of them were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The fatal Palm Springs crash is still under investigation.
