Erika Edwards Killed in Hollywood Pedestrian Accident on Sunset Boulevard

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (June 30, 2025) – Erika Edwards, 36, of Van Nuys, was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
The deadly collision occurred around 9:03 p.m. on June 29th at Sierra Bonita Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The driver of a blue Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV was heading east on Sunset Boulevard. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old woman was walking in the roadway in a southbound direction on Sierra Bonita Avenue. The driver struck the pedestrian, failed to stop, and fled southbound on Gardner Street.
Paramedics responded and located the woman suffering from major injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner later identified the victim on its website.
Police are now on the lookout for the suspect who fled in the Mercedes and the investigation is underway.
