Erne De La Torre Santiago, 54, Killed in Brentwood Pedestrian Crash on San Vicente
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 2, 2022) – Erne De La Torre Santiago was killed after a crash on San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood.
Officers identified the 54-year-old La Puente man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Monday morning.
The incident happened when Erne De La Torre Santiago parked his car on the side of a road in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
At the same time, a vehicle was going west on San Vicente Boulevard. Police said for an unknown reason, the driver then struck the man in the 12800 block of San Vicente.
Man Hit by Car
Erne De La Torre Santiago sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found him down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The ABC 7 News and My News LA wrote that the incident occurred at about 6:50 a.m.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced a stretch of San Vicente Boulevard to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the Brentwood pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
