Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Suspected Drunk Driver
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (April 7, 2021) — Ernest Fuentes III, 52, of Sacramento, died a week ago in a collision with a suspected drunken driver while riding his motorcycle on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael.
The collision happened about 8:58 p.m. on April 1st at Fair Oaks Boulevard and Homewood Way, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
The Sacramento man was riding a black motorcycle when the crash occurred. It’s unknown what led up to the collision, however, police suspect the driver in the other vehicle was intoxicated.
Police continue to investigate the fatal crash. It’s unknown what charges the suspected DUI driver will face.
Meanwhile, the family of Ernest Fuentes has a Go Fund Me account to raise money for his funeral this Saturday.
“He loved to ride his motorcycle and tragically he was taken from the world doing just that when he was hit by a Drunk Driver,” said Shawna Fuentes on the fundraiser page.
