The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m.
As per the article, Los Angeles police said a black truck was going east on Chatsworth Street at De Soto Avenue when its driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with a GMC pickup truck.
The red truck rolled onto the sidewalk, trapping its two occupants inside. The victims were then extricated but died at the scene.
They were identified as brothers Ernesto Chinchillas-Castro, 42, and Hector Chinchillas-Castro, 44.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that a man and woman in the black truck fled the scene but later arrested and taken into custody. The driver, 21-year-old Dylan Rutherford, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
