1 Dead, 3 Injured in Escalon Head-On Crash on Highway 120
ESCALON (June 3, 2018) – One died and three were injured after a traffic collision along Highway 120 on Saturday morning, according to The Modesto Bee.
The accident took place at 5:52 a.m. near Sutliff Road.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a GMC Yukon Denali was going east on Highway 120 when for an unknown reason it drifted into the westbound lane where a Subaru and a Ford truck were traveling.
The Subaru veered to avoid the Yukon, causing the Ford behind it to collide with the Denali head-on instead. The Subaru reportedly became clipped in the crash.

CHP affirmed that the male driver of the Yukon died at the scene. The operator of the Ford truck was flown to an area hospital with injuries considered as major.
Two passengers in the GMC, both males, were also hospitalized with unspecified injuries. The motorist in the Subaru was unharmed.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, Highway 120 was forced to shut down in the area for about three hours as a result of the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
