ESCONDIDO: 2 Motorcycles, Car Crash 15 Freeway at SR-78

Motorcycle crashESCONDIDO, California (May 10, 2016) — At least one person suffered major injuries Tuesday morning when two Harley Davidson motorcycles and a silver Toyota Scion collided on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash took place about 6:54 a.m. near the State Route 78. At least one of the riders went down in the center divider of the freeway. One of the bikes was described as a black 2010 Harley Davidson Road King with Arizona license plates and the other, a red and black 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster. Two tow trucks were sent to the scene for one bike and the car.

Paramedics responded to help those who were injured in the crash and at least one of the riders was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

The crash is being investigated by police to determine liability.
