ESCONDIDO, California (May 3, 2016) — At least three people were injured Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway at Via Rancho Parkway North, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 5:53 a.m. this morning between a big rig truck, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a red pickup truck, a silver Nissan Titan, a gray Nissan Altima and a sixth vehicle. A driver in the red pickup truck was trapped and unable to get out as the door to the vehicle was stuck.
Paramedics responded and transported at least two people to local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Police are investigating what caused the crash and liability.
