2 Kids and Woman Injured in Car Crash at Quince and 10th Avenue
ESCONDIDO (July 16, 2018) – Several people were injured in a traffic collision at the intersection of Quince Street and 10th Avenue Sunday evening.
According to NBC News, a suspected stolen red Hyundai Elantra was spotted in the area around 5:30 p.m. Officers reportedly tried to pull over the car but the suspect continued driving.
The Hyundai driver reportedly ran a stop sign at South Quince Street and West 10th Avenue, and broadsided a Honda CVR.
Officials determined an adult woman, and two children were inside the Honda at the time of the collision. All three parties were taken by paramedics to hospital for treatment of unknown extent of injuries. At this time, the names of the victims remained unknown.
Car Plows Into Escondido Home
Primary reports indicated the collision also caused property damages. After the Hyundai broadsided the Honda, the Hyundai spun uncontrollably and crashed into three parked cars, and plowed into a house. As per the article, all three vehicles and the damaged house was owned by Jalen Walker and his family.
Police said two suspects were taken into custody following the incident. Further investigation on the case is underway.
