4-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Freeway in Escondido
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (March 26, 2024) — A multi-vehicle Escondido car accident happened Tuesday morning on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Deer Springs Road.
The four-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:06 a.m. on March 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report. Authorities were automatically notified of the traffic accident by an iPhone in one of the vehicles.
The drivers of a black BMW, a gray Honda Civic, a black Lexus and a gray Acura sedan were involved and blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway, police said.
Paramedics from CAL Fire San Diego responded to help one person with major injuries and another with minor injuries, the report said.
Tow trucks removed three of the four vehicles from the roadway due to damage from the crash on the 15 Freeway in Escondido.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the accident.
