Head-On Crash on Del Dios Highway in Escondido
ESCONDIDO (August 1, 2017) – A head-on collision resulting in apparent major injuries occurred on Del Dios Highway Tuesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident took place shortly before 1:30 p.m. between Elm Lane and Rancho Drive.
CHP initially logged that four vehicles were involved in the wreck. At least two cars were confirmed to have collided head-on on the highway.

As per the dispatch, one vehicle, described as a red Honda Civic, rolled over as a result of the crash. Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least one occupant who was trapped in the overturned car.
CHP said that person might have suffered a broken arm following the collision. The report has not been yet confirmed.
The incident is still under investigating.
