1 Injured in Escondido Crash on Del Dios Road Near Mt Israel Road
ESCONDIDO, CA (September 16, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Del Dios Road in Escondido.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the accident took place late Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:27 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Escondido. They crashed at 9595 Del Dios Road between Mt Israel Road and Rancho Drive.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a white Mercedes SUV and a blue Honda Civic. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Hernandez Cove.
Medical personnel then found a female victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They took her to the Palomar Medical Center Poway for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Del Dios Road to shut down following the wreck.
Officers are still determining the cause of the Escondido crash.
