1 Injured in Escondido DUI Crash on Harmony Grove Road
ESCONDIDO, CA (September 6, 2021) – At least one was injured after a DUI crash on Harmony Grove Road in Escondido.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck on September 5 at about 2:09 a.m.
According to CHP’s incident log, two vehicles collided in the city of Escondido. They crashed in the 9030 block of Harmony Grove Road.
DUI Driver Hits Another Car
One of the cars involved rolled onto its side upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve.
They then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel treated the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP determined that a driver involved was under the influence when the accident happened.
Officers forced a stretch of Harmony Grove Road to shut down following the collision. The Escondido DUI crash is still under investigation.
