Multi-Vehicle Accident on Via Rancho Parkway Near Westfield North County Wednesday

Escondido, CA (December 19, 2020) – Several vehicles collided on Via Rancho Parkway Wednesday evening, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 1994 Honda Accord crashed head-on into another vehicle on Via Rancho Parkway. Officials said the Honda just exited northbound Interstate 15 when the accident happened.

The wreck reportedly involved a third vehicle. Authorities described the other two cars as a Nissan Sentra and a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Shortly after 7:35 p.m., medical personnel responded to the crash site. Paramedics rushed the driver of the Honda to a hospital for surgery. Furthermore, officers determined the driver of the Honda was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

Meanwhile, the other driver reportedly complained of pain after the incident.

Additional details on the wreck remained unclear. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the DUI car crash in Escondido.
