ESCONDIDO, California (July 26, 2017) – A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning in a fiery crash involving at least two other motorists on the Interstate 15 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The traffic accident took place about 6:59 a.m. this morning between the bike, a white sedan and a third motorist. The bike was on fire in the center divider and a vehicle was on fire in the No. 3 lane. The report describes the scene after the collision as having lots of black smoke and flames.
A SigAlert was issued due to multiple lanes being blocked and signs were put up to advise motorists of the crash just north of West El Norte Parkway. The traffic was backed up past Deer Springs Road, the report said.
The crash remains under investigation to determine liability.
