Escondido Motorcycle Fatality at East Barham Drive and Meyers Avenue

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2026) — A motorcycle rider died Thursday morning in a collision with a flatbed big rig truck in Escondido at Meyers Avenue and East Barham Drive, police said.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 10:40 a.m. on Jan. 22nd, Escondido police reported.

Police and paramedics responded, but the rider did not survive the crash and died at the scene. The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the victim’s name, age, or gender.

Finally, detectives closed down the intersection for several hours to conduct an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash to determine fault.
