At Least 8 Vehicles Involved in Accident Near Interstate 15
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (July 18, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on Deer Springs Road in Escondido California, just west of the Interstate 15 Freeway.
The traffic accident occurred at around 3:30 PM on Wednesday July 17th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At lease eight vehicles were involved in the car accident yesterday afternoon. It was reported by CHP that eight vehicles and a commercial tanker truck were involved in the traffic collision.
The CHP reported one of the vehicles involved, a white minivan, was smoking and that a child had exited the vehicle. It is unknown if the child has any injuries or not. Also, there were three vehicles that hit a nearby tree.
Paramedics from Cal Fire San Diego responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Tow trucks were also needed on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Escondido on Deer Springs Road.
