ESSEX COUNTY, California — Haylee King, 20, of Wildomar was killed Sunday in a rollover crash when the car she was riding in sustained a tire blowout on the Interstate 40 Freeway near Mile Marker 88, a report by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner said.
King was a front-seat passenger in a 2005 Jeep Wrangler that had a tire failure causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Jeep rolled over and King died at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene with paramedics, but they were not able to help the victim. An investigation into the tragedy is underway.
