Esteban Carrillo Ramos, 40, Killed in Lost Hills Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 46
LOST HILLS, CA (July 9, 2021) – Esteban Carrillo Ramos was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 46 near Lost Hills.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the 40-year-old Sylmar man as the victim of the fatal collision last month.
The incident happened on June 27 when a vehicle struck Esteban Carrillo Ramos in Lost Hills. The California Highway Patrol said the driver hit him for an unknown reason on Highway 46.
Pedestrian Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found the pedestrian left lying on the ground. Esteban Carrillo Ramos sustained major injuries as a result of the Lost Hills crash.
CHP confirmed that he died at the scene. Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident took place at around 3:30 a.m., west of Brown Material Road.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render help to the man and then fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
The Lost Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the authorities at 661-764-5580.
