Man Killed in Crash on I-10 Freeway Identified
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2023) — Esteban Jaramillo, 34, died in a crash on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway last Thursday morning near South Santa Fe Avenue in Los Angeles.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 4:48 a.m. on Oct. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a driver in a white car was traveling the wrong way prior to colliding with a white Dodge Charger or Challenger in the slow lane. Police issued a SigAlert due to the collision.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced Esteban Jaramillo dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner reports. They also transported another person with moderate injuries to Los Angeles County Community Hospital.
There are no further details about the collision.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and held for evidence.
The case remains under investigation.
