Driver, Pedestrian Injured in Eureka Crash on G Street
EUREKA, Calif. (September 17, 2019) – Two people were injured in a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning on G Street in Eureka.
The crash was reported at 6th and G streets when a driver in a Subaru swerved off the roadway. Police stated that the woman driving north on G Street prior to the car colliding with a pedestrian and a parking sign. The vehicle eventually slammed into a building.
Paramedics responded and rushed both the pedestrian and the Subaru driver to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is underway by police.
This is the second crash involving a pedestrian in the Eureka area this week. On Saturday, Sept. 14th, a pedestrian was struck on Broadway about 8:45 p.m. The person suffered major injuries in the collision and the Eureka Police Department is investigating.
